Two days after the Olympic Qualification Tournament, the selection committee of the KNSB confirmed the team representing the Netherlands in Milan. The decision sees Marcel Bosker assigned to the team pursuit event, while Jutta Leerdam will compete in the 1000 meters. Kjeld Nuis has taken over the third position on the 1500 meter start list, a spot previously held by Tim Prins.
Despite his participation in the qualification tournament, Tim Prins has not been given a place in the Olympic team, highlighting the competitive and strategic choices made by the selection committee in preparing the Dutch speed skaters for the Winter Olympics.
