The women’s 3000-meter speed skating event at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan is set to begin on Saturday, February 7th, featuring notable athletes such as Marijke Groenewoud and Ragne Wiklund.

The competition will commence at 16:00 with Merel Conijn skating in the first pair. In addition to the speed skating events, the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics is scheduled for the evening of February 6th at 20:00. For the first time in Olympic history, the ceremony will take place simultaneously at four venues, with the primary show held at the San Siro stadium in Milan. Performances include artists such as Mariah Carey, Andrea Bocelli, and Laura Pausini, with actress Sabrina Impacciatore playing a significant role.
