Norway enters the team pursuit event in Milan as the defending champions, with one member from the previous winning team returning.
According to nos.nl, a news outlet based in the Netherlands, nos.nl reports that Norway won the team pursuit title at the Winter Olympics in Beijing four years ago. The team then included Hallgeir Engebraten, Peder Kongshaug, and Sverre Lunde Pedersen. For the upcoming competition in Milan, only Kongshaug from that original trio remains. He will be joined by Sigurd Holbo Dyrset and Didrik Eng Strand.
The Russian team, which secured the silver medal competing under a neutral flag in Beijing, will not participate in this event. The United States team, which won the bronze medal four years ago, is also preparing for the competition. Norway aims to defend its title despite changes in its lineup.
