On Tuesday, Dutch athletes are competing in two events at the Olympic Games with medal opportunities in the team pursuit speed skating and participation in the two-man bobsleigh.

The schedule for the day includes the team pursuit speed skating semifinals starting from 14:30. The Netherlands is represented in both the men’s and women’s competitions. The Dutch men’s team faces Italy, and the women’s team competes against Japan. In the men’s quarterfinals, skaters Stijn van de Bunt, Marcel Bosker, and Chris Huizinga took part, though Marcel Bosker will be replaced by Jorrit Bergsma in the semifinals.
The women’s team pursuit squad consists of Joy Beune, Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong, Marijke Groenewoud, and Merel Conijn. Finals for the event are expected to begin around 16:22. Meanwhile, in the two-man bobsleigh event, Dave Wesselink and Jelen Franjic will start their third and fourth heats from 19:00. Currently, they are positioned thirteenth and are not considered contenders for a medal.
Medal updates also noted that the United States has reclaimed third place in the overall standings from the Netherlands.
