Jordan Stolz plans to continue his medal streak by competing in both the World Sprint and World Allround Speed Skating Championships in Heerenveen next week.
NOS Schaatsen, a Dutch news outlet, reports on Stolz’s upcoming participation.
The 21-year-old American, who currently holds the world allround champion title, aims to defend his crown at the upcoming event. Stolz recently achieved significant success at the Milan Winter Games, where he earned two gold medals in the 500 and 1000 meters as well as a silver medal in the 1500 meters. Following these achievements, he is traveling from Milan to Heerenveen to prepare for the challenging schedule of competing in both tournaments.
The Dutch representatives for the championships, which take place at Thialf ice arena, have yet to be decided. The participants for the World Sprint and World Allround Championships will be confirmed following the national championships held this weekend, also in Heerenveen.
The World Sprint Championships are scheduled for March 5 and 6, immediately followed by the World Allround Championships on March 7 and 8. Both events will be available for viewing via livestream on NOS.nl, as well as on television through channels NPO3 and NPO1.
