Daleman, who is in her second year as an A-junior, showed strong performances during last winter’s season. She competed in World Cups and established herself among the world’s top skaters in her category. One of her notable achievements was breaking the junior world record in the 500 meters with a time of 37.22 seconds in Calgary. Additionally, she recorded a personal milestone by skating under 1:54 in the 1500 meters at Thialf.
Unfortunately, Daleman’s season was interrupted after a fall during the 500 meter event at the European Championships held in Poland on January 10, which prevented her from competing further in official races. Despite this setback, Team Essent showed confidence in her abilities by extending her contract until 2028.
Daleman expressed her satisfaction with the contract extension, highlighting the trust placed in her by the team. She also credited the support and collaboration with her teammates and coaching staff as important factors in her development.
Coach Jac Orie praised Daleman’s potential, describing her as a great talent who has already demonstrated a high competitive level at a young age. He emphasized that achieving such impressive times early in her career suggests a promising future ahead for the skater.
