The KNSB will use funds raised through an auction of World Championship racing suits to provide free training courses for fifty beginning trainers and officials in skating sports.

Jurre Trouw, manager of sport participation at the KNSB, stated that associations interested in taking advantage of this opportunity should register quickly because the availability is limited. Well-trained staff are essential for clubs, and the funding will enable fifty new trainers and officials to attend courses without cost.
The auction was conducted by MatchWornShirt (MWS), a partner of TeamNL. All twelve Dutch athletes competing at the World Championships at Thialf donated their racing suits for the auction. Among the items auctioned, the suit of world champion Femke Kok fetched the highest price of 2215 euros. The suit of world champion Jenning de Boo sold for 1111 euros, placing second, while Suzanne Schulting’s suit was sold for 850 euros, earning third highest proceeds.
After deducting expenses, the net total raised came to 5367 euros. This amount will cover the training costs for 39 young trainers and 11 officials. Normally, courses cost 100 euros per trainer and 118 euros per official. Trouw expressed gratitude to the World Championship athletes and the auction partner MWS for their donation, reaffirming the KNSB’s commitment to strengthening the skating sports community through these educational opportunities.
