The schedule for the Dutch National Speed Skating Championships and associated events has been set after careful coordination among stakeholders.
Schaatsen.nl, the Netherlands, reports that Freek van der Wart, the discipline manager, explained the difficulties in finalizing the dates due to logistical and training challenges. Discussions included input from multiple parties such as the Athletes Association to ensure the calendar serves the best interests of the entire skating community.
The National Championships for the team pursuit event will once again be held, coinciding with the World Cup Qualification Tournament. Meanwhile, two Holland Cup events, known as Kraantje Lek and the Eindhoven Trofee, have been moved to early February because December proved too congested. The skating season will conclude with the Viking Race on March 12 and 13.
