Marcel Bosker and Team Reggeborgh Disagree with KNSB’s Selection for World Allround Speed Skating Championships

Marcel Bosker and Team Reggeborgh have expressed disagreement with the decision by the Royal Dutch Skating Federation (KNSB) to nominate Stijn van de Bunt and Chris Huizinga for the World Allround Speed Skating Championships.

According to a report by AD, the team takes issue with the fact that these skaters were appointed without having competed in the Dutch Allround Championships, an event Bosker is currently competing in to secure the final spot for the world championship.

Bosker argues that all contenders should have participated in the national competition to ensure a fair selection process. He describes the decision to allow certain athletes to be designated without this requirement as unusual, emphasizing the importance of equal criteria for qualification.
