The Thialf ice rink will be available six days a week from August 10 to September 12, 2026, offering specific time slots for both competitive and recreational skaters with different access requirements and pricing.

During the stated period, the 400-meter long track at Thialf is open from Monday through Saturday. KNSB members who meet certain qualifying times have access to designated combination sessions held from 8:00 to 9:30 am, 2:00 to 3:30 pm, and 3:45 to 5:15 pm. The qualifying times required are 41.50 seconds for 500m, 2:08.00 minutes for 1500m, 4:21.00 minutes for 3000m, and 7:25.00 minutes for 5000m. Interested skaters must register individually for these sessions, which accommodate a maximum of 80 participants per time slot.
For other KNSB members, a daily club hour is available from 12:15 to 1:45 pm without any qualifying time restrictions. The cost for combination-hour access is €25.00 per person per session, while the club hour costs €12.50 per person per session. Registration for combination-hour skating is conducted by contacting Aart van der Wulp via email. Tickets for the club hour are purchasable online through Thialf’s official website.
It is noted that ice availability may be subject to change since the facility can be rented for other events. For any inquiries, skaters can contact Topsport Noord by phone. Wearing helmets is mandatory at Thialf. Additionally, the Sven Kramer Academy provides skate and helmet rentals as well as skating lessons and clinics during this period.
