Team IKO-X²O Badkamers Strengthens Squad with Young Talent Arjen Boersma

Speed skating team IKO-X²O Badkamers has added promising young skater Arjen Boersma to its roster as part of its long-term strategy towards 2030.

Schaatsen.nl, a Dutch speed skating news outlet, reports that the team has been closely monitoring Boersma’s development and expects him to make significant progress in sprint and middle-distance events over the coming years.

Martin ten Hove, associated with Team IKO-X²O Badkamers, explained that the team is focused on building a squad with potential for the future and views Boersma as a valuable addition. Boersma, who hails from Santpoort-Zuid, debuted recently in major national long track tournaments held at Thialf and secured two fifth-place finishes at the Junior World Cups. He also earned a silver medal at the Dutch Junior Sprint Championships.

Joining the team will give Boersma the opportunity to train alongside experienced skaters like Sebas Diniz and Dai N’tab. He cited the team’s individualized approach as a key factor in his decision to join. After two successful years with TalentNED, Boersma believes that IKO-X²O Badkamers aligns well with his personal sporting philosophy and is confident about taking the next step in his career within this new environment.

In related developments, the 19-year-old Ede Kortlever recently signed with IKO-X²O Badkamers, while Kayo Vos transferred to Reggeborgh. All recent transfers have been compiled in a transfer overview for reference.
