Belgian athlete Sandrine Tas, known for her achievements in speed skating, will make her WorldTour cycling debut at the La Flèche Wallonne race on Wednesday.
According to De Telegraaf, the 30-year-old athlete, who narrowly missed a medal in speed skating at the Winter Olympics, is transitioning into professional cycling, debuting in a major one-day race in Belgium.
Sandrine Tas has previously built a strong reputation in winter sports, and now she is embarking on a new chapter by competing at the highest level of women’s professional road cycling. La Flèche Wallonne is a well-known WorldTour event that will offer her the opportunity to compete among the elite cyclists.
