In her position, Wind coordinates sponsor interests, content opportunities, and partner commitments in close consultation with partnership manager Lisanne Manders. She highlights that communication is crucial, requiring awareness of ongoing developments, proactive planning, and anticipation of potential changes or risks.
Wind brings extensive experience to her role, having spent six years as a project leader at NOC*NSF for the Olympic Games, including the Tokyo, Beijing, and Paris editions. Prior to that, she served as a team manager with the rowing federation. She describes her current function less as a job and more as a lifestyle, encompassing seven days a week with constant variation.
Particularly when events do not proceed as planned, Wind stresses the necessity of strong alignment within the team. She notes that the work is never done alone and that effective collaboration and communication within the staff enable quick adjustments. Preferring to remain out of the spotlight, Wind feels that being invisible is a sign that everything is operating smoothly behind the scenes, allowing athletes to focus entirely on their performance on the ice.
