Sander Eitrem has returned to the Olympic Village following a brief isolation due to illness after the 10,000-meter event.
NOS, a Dutch news outlet, reported on Eitrem’s situation.
The Norwegian athlete withdrew from the Olympic Village as a precaution after falling ill last week post-10,000-meter race. Eitrem, who secured a victory in the 5,000 meters, has now been released from isolation and has resumed sleeping in the Olympic Village accommodations. Despite returning to training today and intending to compete this afternoon, assistant coach Jonas Bekken noted that Eitrem is not yet in optimal condition following several days of illness.
